Director Oleksandr Aksinushkin and Sales Director Kateryna Melnyk talk about the development of ITO-PRODUCTION LTD and plans to enter the European market.
What helped you to reach the international level of business?
A.A.: It was a difficult time and it was not easy to gain trust among European partners. Our friend from Poland, Tadeusz Krusel, vouched for us and convinced the Italians that we were honest and reliable. For our part, we did everything we could to justify this trust.
The most important thing is to be honest with yourself and your people. Then your business will work and grow.
What has changed in the company in ten years? What is the situation today?
K.M.: Honest work and responsibility have paid off, we have developed as manufacturers and distributors. When we started, we employed four people. Before the war, we had about 50 employees. Today we try to keep jobs and value every employee. We also provide development opportunities. I sincerely believe that our people are our greatest value.
In 2023, we are gradually reaching the pre-war level of work and are open to new projects, both in Ukraine and in Europe.
We love what we do, it is our family business that grows like a child. Sometimes with difficulties, sometimes with success. But this is normal, and we are ready for all challenges.

The flow meter plays a key role in a fertilizer production plant. It distributes the raw material on a conveyor belt in a controlled manner for later stages of the process.
When the raw material is formed of very fine particles, the flow meter is used instead of the loading hopper in order to avoid compression of the particles.
A PBZ Motovario parallel shaft gearbox moves the loading bed forwards and backwards to permit the best possible distribution of the raw material on the conveyor belt. Keeping the frequency at a steady rate and monitoring it is essential during this stage of the process to ensure controlled and uniform distribution.
Motovario has devised an AU configuration, with the input and output shafts on the same side of the casing, to obtain a compact layout of the motor and reducer for the final application. The electric motor is coupled with a flexible joint.
This configuration was studied to ensure a work rate of 16 h/d at constant operation.
We recommend the product configuration with reinforced oil seals that prevents dust from contaminating the gear lubricant.
Motovario’s parallel shaft gearbox has proven to be the most suitable drive in terms of strength and performance for the meter in the production of fertilizers.
